5 Days Old!

Has it really been 5 days already since we brought our beautiful baby home? It has been better then we could have ever hoped for.
The midwives came over the day after Zoe was born and made sure that mommy and baby were doing fine, which we were. Then they came over on Friday and weighed Zoe and did a once over of her and me. Zoe did lose about 10 oz but that is completely normal the weight will only go up from now on. She also had her foot pricked to draw blood for the PKU test, she didn't like that very much. She lost her umbilical cord stump today and that is perfect. The midwives are scheduled to come over today and then our next visit will be going to their office on day 10.
Zoe had an interesting day yesterday, besides the 3 explosive diapers that required us to change her outfit every time, we went to Canadian Tire for about 45 minutes. She was better then perfect, she was wide awake and looking around then by the end of our shopping she was sound asleep.
Zoe also decided to start peeing as Eric was changing her diaper, that was funny. We have been having great nights! Zoe only woke twice last night to be fed and she was sound asleep for the rest of it, we got up around 9am today.
Grandma Ev and Grandpa Pete come back to stay with us for two nights before they make the long drive back to Thunder Bay. I am sure they cannot wait to see their grand daughter again.
