Zoe Update
Zoe cut another tooth the other night, it is the one right beside her right front tooth. She has also slept through the night 2 nights in a row- that is unheard of! It was a solid 7:30pm to 7:30am the first night and 7:30pm to 6:30am last night. I had a great sleep both nights even though I have been kind of congested. Eric, Zoe and I have all been kind of congested the last few days.
So what are you all wondering...probably is Zoe on the move yet? The answer is no. She can sit no problem and push herself up on her arms no problem but she doesn't seem to be able to pull her knees under her. She can push herself backwards and spin in circles on her tummy - but it doesn't get her very far. If we assist her into a crawling position she immediately tries to go into a sitting position. She is not able to put herself into a sitting position from her tummy, yet.
When we took Zoe to the doctor's not too long ago she wasn't concerned at all about Zoe's development. Zoe is above the 100th percentile for height, is in the 75th percentile for her weight and she is above the 100th percentile for head circumference. The long body and the large head do not make for easy crawling.
It looks almost funny when we put her in a crawling position because her stomach is so far off the ground - she may just walk and not crawl at all. Her hips are a little less wobbly when she stands and she will stand against the couch no problem, she just cannot pull herself up. She also refuses to hold onto your hands when you try and assist her in walking (which she doesn't do) so that is crawling/walking update.
On the talking front - Zoe doesn't stop! Of course she says da-da all the time and not mama, even though I spend all day with her! As soon as Eric comes in the room or comes home from work she goes on and on "da-da-da-da" it is very cute. She does say ma-ma and mom sometimes as well as ba-ba. She says other things that are not really words - or words we understand anyways. She always has a long story to tell when she wakes up in the morning or from naps it almost sounds like "good-good-good" it is funny. She has also discovered a lot more sounds that her tongue can make you can't help but laugh when she does some of her faces while making the new, exciting sound.
The Mom Show comes tomorrow and then Thursday I am off to Calgary and Zoe and Daddy will have the weekend to themselves!
Here are some pictures of Zoe eating banana pieces with a fork - she likes to use her forks more then her hands, she has good manners already!

Sometimes before she gets the food in her mouth she missesand this is what happens!
